About us

Phosora

Phosora is an inclusive photography program that empowers people of all abilities to explore creativity through the lens. Specifically, we target students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and visual impairments so that they can express themselves in the photos. Through the class, students build skills together and dive into a world of imagination and possibilities.

At the end of the program, the exhibition at a local university, Ewha College, features the photos taken by the students and is accompanied by the proud smiles and inspiration they offer to the audience. A photo of the exhibition is on the right.

Our mission

Our mission empowers those with IDD and visual impairments to challenge stigma and prove that photography is meant for all abilities. We encourage them to showcase their creativity in endless ways with the goal of making photography accessible, inclusive, and joyful.

Disability Simulation Pop-up

This pop-up store allows visitors to shop at a convenience store while experiencing different disabilities, helping them see challenges, build empathy, and imagine a more inclusive world.

They are given three options: visual, physical, or IDD to experience. They are given different missions and are brought to the respective sections of the store for each disability.

A photo of the entrance of the pop-up is to the right, reading "Inconvenient Convience Store/ Disability Simulation Pop-up Campaign."

Our mission

Our mission is to promote empathy, awareness, and inclusion by allowing the visitors to experience the everyday challenges faced by those with visual, intellectual and developmental, or physical disabilities. We aim to spark understanding in order to inspire many more to recognize the importance of an accessible world.
